May is a great time to get moving, enjoy the outdoors and look after your wellbeing, and Walk This May is all about encouraging people to do just that.
Walking is one of the easiest ways to be active, and you don’t need special equipment or lots of experience to take part. Whether you want to move a bit more, boost your mood or meet new people, walking can be a simple first step.
If you’d like to walk with others, Herefordshire’s Wellbeing Walks offer a friendly and supportive way to get involved. These free, regular group walks take place all across the county and are led by experienced Ramblers Wellbeing Walks leaders along tried and tested routes. Walks are taken at a steady pace and over easy ground, making them suitable for most people. Walking with others means you’ll feel supported and safe along the way, and many walks finish with a cup of tea or coffee and time for a chat. There’s no need to book, just turn up at the starting point 10 – 15 minutes before the walk begins and join in.
This May, why not step outside and give a local wellbeing walk a try? To find a local walk near you, visit the Talk Community Directory ‘What’s On’ calendar.
