Temporary Parking at the Village Hall from 28th July to 2nd Aug 2025 for Exceptional Circumstances (road closure adjacent to the school & The Old Forge)

Parking for the above parish residents for this period has kindly been agreed by the Village Hall Committee to enable residents to commute as usual without having to drive the long, narrow Church Lane/Laskett Lane diversion. Permission is with the caveats listed below: Please could residents parking at the Village Hall during this period be aware of/adhere to the following –

a) Cars are parked “at their own risk”

b) Parking is being agreed for this Exceptional Circumstances period only, from 28th July to 2nd Aug 2025 between the hours from 5pm to 8:30am, to enable local residents to commute to work etc – these time periods are to ensure that Hirers of the Village Hall, have the necessary parking available for their events during the daytime periods

c) If this Village Hall goodwill gesture is abused and cars are parked at the Village Hall during the daytime hours, causing problems for Hall Hirers, parking for future Exceptional Circumstances will not be given.

Additional parking options are around the village green and village approach roads but, if parking in these areas, please do so with consideration for residents, so as not to block their driveways or obscure driving visibility.
