A new national initiative, The Real Count UK, is inviting people to anonymously share their experiences of domestic abuse to help build a more accurate understanding of its prevalence and impact across the UK.

The survey is open to anyone who has experienced domestic abuse, whether or not they have ever reported it to the police, support services, family, friends or anyone else. By capturing experiences that may not appear in official statistics, the project aims to strengthen the evidence used to inform policy, research, commissioning and the development of support services.

Organisations and community groups are encouraged to share the survey through their networks to help ensure a wider range of experiences are represented. Every response will contribute to a better understanding of domestic abuse and help shape future support for those affected.
