Free Online Sessions: Talking About Suicide in the Media

Herefordshire and Worcestershire’s Suicide Prevention Programme has funded a series of free online advice sessions delivered by Samaritans, designed for anyone who might communicate publicly about suicide.

The sessions will explore how to talk about suicide responsibly, including how to use positive storytelling to help change the conversation around mental health and suicide prevention.

You don’t have to be a media or communications professional to take part – these sessions are ideal for anyone working in the voluntary sector, planning suicide prevention campaigns, or helping to share messages about the Baton of Hope Tour coming to Herefordshire on 2nd October.

Upcoming sessions take place on Tuesday 12th August from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and Tuesday 9th September from 10am to 11am.

There’s no limit on places, so if in doubt, sign up! Secure your place using this form.
