West Mercia Women’s Aid is offering a free online introductory course designed to help participants gain a deeper understanding of domestic abuse and its impact. The course will run on Tuesday 9th December at 9:30am and Thursday 15th January at 9:30am.

It provides a foundation for anyone wanting to better understand domestic abuse, covering the prevalence and reality of abuse in today’s society, the different types of abuse including those that are less recognised, and the myths, misconceptions and stereotypes that often surround the issue.

It also explores the far-reaching impact on victims, children and communities, offers practical advice on what to do and say to help, and explains the specialist services provided by West Mercia Women’s Aid so participants leave with a clear understanding of the support available and how to access it.
