As winter approaches, flu cases are expected to rise, and for some people, flu can lead to serious illness and complications. That’s why eligible groups are being encouraged to get their free flu vaccine and protect themselves ahead of the colder months.
You may be eligible for a free flu vaccine if you are aged 65 or over, pregnant, have certain long-term health conditions, live in a residential care home, or are a carer. Children of certain ages are also eligible through school and community vaccination programmes.
Getting vaccinated not only helps protect you from becoming seriously unwell, but also helps reduce the spread of flu to family members, friends and vulnerable people in your community.
Not sure if you qualify? Now is the perfect time to check your eligibility and book your appointment before flu levels begin to increase over winter.
Protect yourself and those around you this winter by checking if you’re eligible for a free flu vaccine.
