A warm welcome at Staunton on Wye Talk Community Hub

The Staunton on Wye Talk Community Hub was buzzing recently when members of our Community Connector Team popped in to meet local people and share information about new services and support available in the area.

The team were there to talk through details of the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), including support available to help with heating oil, and to introduce the new Community Connector service. The event was really well attended, with lots of conversations taking place and local people taking the opportunity to ask questions and find out what help is out there.

It was great to see a strong mix of partners attending alongside the Connectors, including Dementia Matters, Age UK, Penny Michin, the local social prescriber, and Councillor Roger Phillips. Having services together in one place made it easier for residents to access advice, information and support when they needed it.

At the heart of it all is the Hub itself, run by Wendy and Barbara, who do a truly fantastic job of making everyone feel welcome. From keeping the tea flowing to coordinating visiting services, they create a warm, inclusive space where local people can drop in, have a chat and get support in a relaxed and friendly way.
