World Suicide Prevention Day takes place on 10 September, and organisations across Herefordshire are coming together to raise awareness, promote available support services and encourage open conversations about mental health.
As part of these efforts, Hereford Baton of Hope is hosting a series of three fully funded Suicide Awareness and Prevention Workshops will be held at The Shell Store, Hereford. These interactive three-hour sessions are designed to increase understanding of suicide prevention and equip participants with the skills and confidence to provide safe and meaningful support to those who may be struggling.
The workshops are facilitated by healthcare professionals with both lived and professional experience of suicide, providing a safe and confidential environment to explore this important topic. Participants will gain practical knowledge, learn how to have supportive conversations, and develop greater awareness of suicide prevention approaches, making them valuable for volunteers, community groups, frontline staff and anyone interested in supporting the wellbeing of others.
Places are free, but booking is essential. To reserve your place, complete the online registration form.
