Dementia Action Week is a national awareness week that shines a light on dementia, challenges stigma and encourages people to take positive action to support those affected.
This year, Hereford Meeting Centre is marking Dementia Action Week by opening its doors to the public with a special open day on Monday 18 May, 11.30am–2.30pm, at St John’s Church, St Owen’s Street, Hereford.
The open day is a chance to find out what a Meeting Centre is, meet the team and members, and get a feel for the activities and support on offer. There will be fun activities, information and advice, light refreshments, and time to chat with others who have personal or professional experience of dementia. The event is open to everyone, including people living with dementia, carers, family members, professionals and anyone who wants to learn more. No booking is required.
