Support for Households Using Heating Oil or LPG

The Government has made funding available to support low‑income households who rely on heating oil or LPG and are struggling with rising energy costs. This funding is designed to help residents who are in acute need, particularly where there is a risk of losing access to heating or hot water.

If you are experiencing a heating oil crisis, for example if you cannot afford an urgent top‑up due to a sudden rise in prices, you may be eligible for support through a Crisis Payment, in line with national guidance.

Residents who are digitally excluded can also access support and make an application by calling Herefordshire Council on 01432 260000 and asking to speak to customer services.

For further information or to apply by email, please visit the Herefordshire Council website. If you need more help with heating oil, to reduce your running costs and get the most from your system, visit Marches Energy Advice.
